Mary K. Zalmer
Mary K. Zalmer, 86, of Durham, passed away on February 23, 2014. She was the wife of the late Richard D. Zalmer.
Born in Derby, February 14, 1928, daughter of the late William and Helen Kiley, she was a 1946 graduate of Derby High School.
Mary was an accomplished dancer and dance teacher who owned and operated the Mary A. Kiley Dance Studio for many years in the Naugatuck Valley.
Mary is survived by loving daughters and son-in-laws, Patricia Somo of Middletown, Lynn and Louis Onofrio of Middlefield, Maryanne and Timothy Reyher of Durham, Elaine and Anthony Calcagni of Durham, and Ellen and John Dunnigan of Wallingford; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer and Kristin Somo, Suzanne and Michael Onofrio, Lauren and Sal Gaudino, Megan and Timothy Reyher, Mary and Jake Provencher, Matthew Calcagni, John and Peira Dunnigan, Kelly and Kimberly Dunnigan; four great grandchildren Dominic, Dimitri, and Adriana Gaudino and Chase Kingsland; a sister Helene Cass, brothers Richard and James Kiley and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by Sisters Bernice Shortell, and Jean Wilkinson, and Brothers William, Christopher, and Michael Kiley.
Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Saturday March 1, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am. A service will take place Saturday 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be private.
