Rosemarie Piccolo
Rosemarie Piccolo, age 68, of Derby entered into rest on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Griffin Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer over the past year. She was the devoted wife of the late Ronald Piccolo.
Rosemarie was born in Elizabeth City, NC on July 7, 1945 daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Ramia) Storiale and was a lifelong Derby resident.
She is the beloved mother of a son, Brian Piccolo and his wife Kerry and a daughter, Cheri Piccolo; sister of, Paul and James Storiale and the late Patricia Tingley. Rosemarie is the loving grandmother of Norah and Natalie Piccolo.
She was a beloved Teacher in the Derby School System for 20 years most recently at Bradley School until her retirement in 2011.
Rosemarie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends but most of all she loved being “Amma” to her cherished granddaughters.
Calling hours were held Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Monday, her funeral procession left the funeral home at 8:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church. Burial followed in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
