Ozella (Shropshire) Norko, age 81 of Shelton, devoted wife of Stephen Norko, passed away July 21, 2014 at Gardner Heights Health Care, Shelton.
Ozella was born in Dawson Springs, Kentucky, August 21, 1932, daughter of the late Hubert and Mary Harlan Shropshire. Ozella was a resident of Shelton for the past 48 years.
Besides her husband, Ozella is survived by her daughter, Mary Lee Norko DiCaro and husband Salvatore of North Springfield, Vermont; Ozella’s sons, Richard Norko and his wife Leslee of Shelton, Stephen Norko of Bridgeport, Thomas Norko of Ansonia, and Joseph Norko of Shelton; brother, Hubert Shropshire Jr. of Ohio; sisters Rebecca Foster, Janet Turpin, and Deborah MacPherson all of Ohio; grandchildren Lisa Monaco, Lauren Kelley, Kelly Norko, Jeffrey Norko, Annie Laurie Christy, Josh Norko, Brooke Norko, and Jillian Norko; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Private services were held July 22. The James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Avenue, Shelton has been entrusted with arrangements.
