Helen Katherine (Lorec) Tourangeau, 94, passed away November 16, 2014 after a brief illness at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
Born to the late Jacob and Mary Lorec, Helen was a lifelong resident of Seymour, CT. She was married to the late Joseph G. Tourangeau.
She will be dearly missed by her two daughters, Cherie Ranno (Dan Moriarty) and Cindy Santore (Rich Santore). She also leaves several nieces and nephews, including Joan Gill, Mary Lee Pepe (Charles), and Father Joseph Elko of Saint Martin de Porres Catholic Church.
Helen was predeceased by her son-in-law Robert Ranno, her seven brothers and sisters, and her beloved cat Schnappsie.
Helen retired from Uniroyal after 37 years working as a Quality Inspector. She returned to work at Hershey Metal and retired there after 10 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary David S. Miles Post #174 where she bartended for many years.
She was an avid gardener, enjoyed baking desserts, polka dancing, and visiting the casinos.
At Helen’s request, there will be no services.
