Yancey Lee Hendrieth, Jr. was born on October 21, 1947 to the late Celestine Snowden Hendrieth and Yancey Lee Hendrieth, Sr. He died suddenly on August 12, 2014 in his home at Subic Bay in the Philippines.
Yancey Hendrieth served in the United States Navy from 1972 to 1975 as a Yeoman Second Class Petty Officer. A graduate of Ansonia High School Class of “1965”. He was transferred to Hawaii shortly after enlisting in the Navy and completing Yeoman “A” School. He received an honorable discharge on March 12, 1975.
Yancey was the CEO of his own film making company, HENDRIETHFILM, LTD, ENTERPRISES.
He is survived by his brother, Anthony Don Hendrieth, Sr.(Angie) of Radcliff, Kentucky. His nieces Morgan and Brittany Hendrieth of Knoxville, TN and Catherine Lynn Hendrieth of Radcliff, KY. and one nephew Anthony Don Hendrieth, III of Knoxville, TN. One grandnephew. A cousin Diane Stroman,(John)of Ansonia. Aunts; Pauline Williams of Brewton, Al, Eileen Leonard of Cincinnati, OH, Ruby Vincent of Montgomery, AL and Beatrice Smith of Queens, New York. In addition to a host of cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 10:00 a.m., at Greater Evangel Temple, 28 Jackson St., Ansonia, CT. Pastor: Edward Barnes Officiating. Interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia, Ct with full Military Honors. Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, Ansonia, handled arrangements.
