Myrtle P. Rowland, 85, of Oxford, wife of 65 years to Frederick N. Rowland, Sr., died Sept. 10, at St. Raphael Hospital.
Born in Seymour on September 11, 1929, daughter of the late Charles and Myrtle Marks Potter; communicant of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church of Oxford, where she served as a warden, historian, and member of the vestry. Frederick and Myrtle graciously donated the land on which the Rowland-Twitchell Homestead is located.
Also survived by three sons, a sister, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Also predeceased by four brothers, a sister, and a great-grandson.
Burial: Southford Cemetery, Oxford. Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, Seymour.
