Dougles Furtek, 63 of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on Jan. 10, at the Shelton Lakes Health Care.
Born in Derby on Sept. 30, 1950 son of the late Charles and Gertrude (Jaderberg) Furtek.
A graduate of the Ansonia High School, he attended Delta State Univ. in Greenville, Miss. and graduated from the Univ. of Missouri in 1974 with a degree in park and rec. management. After graduating he was employed by the Town of Guilford as their Superintendent of Parks. He also was employed at the Ansonia Copper and Brass Co.
Doug and his faithful dog “Hormone” enjoyed their road trips together.
Doug is survived by many close friends.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother Charles David Furtek.
A memorial gathering will be announced for April and will be published in this newspaper.
