Dora Givano, 93, entered into eternal rest on January 19, 2016, at Shady Knoll H.C. in Seymour. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Givano.
Mrs. Givano was born in Ansonia on April 4, 1922, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Mezzapelle.
A resident of Seymour for over sixty years, she enjoyed flower gardening, baking, knitting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by sons, William Givano (Deborah) and David Givano of Seymour, a daughter, Paula Micalizzi (Michael) of Chuluota, FL, a brother, Lawrence Mezzapelle of Wallingford, a sister, Flora Scasino of RI, granddaughters, Jennifer Connors of Waterbury and Erin Micalizzi of FL, great-grandchildren, Matthew and Rachelle Connors and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Charles, Richard, Rollis and Joseph Mezzapelle and sisters, Jane Sonsini, Marie Petrazuolo and Anna Piazza.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday January 26, 2016, at 10:00 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Visiting will take place on TUESDAY MORNING from 9:00 am until the service begins.
