Obituary: Scott Andrew Schremmer, 28

Scott Andrew Schremmer, 28, entered into eternal rest on February 2, 2016, in his home.

Scott was born in Derby on September 17, 1987, beloved son of Kenneth P. Schremmer and Theresa Drewes Schremmer of Oxford.

A resident of Seymour and Oxford his entire life, he enjoyed music, hiking, reading and writing, rock and crystal collecting, disc golf, traveling to music festivals, dancing at music shows, playing the guitar, playing in the APA billiards league and loved making recipes for Wook-N-Cook.

Scotty has a big heart and loves and is loved always by many. May he rest with God in peace and happiness.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers, Jesse Schremmer and his wife Ashley of Naugatuck and Dylan Schremmer of Oxford, a sister, Chelsea Schremmer of Oxford, maternal grandparents, Antoinette Ferlisi Tillquist of Derby and Mervin Drewes and his wife Kathy of FL, paternal grandparents, Dale Soderberg Schremmer and Lawrence Schremmer of Shelton, uncle Keith Drewes and his wife Sabina of FL, aunts, Cindy Lee and her husband Jerry of Ashford, Kathy Tebo and her husband Richard of NH, Penny Palmieri and her husband Henry of Oxford and Taffy-Jo Richter and her husband Ken of Oxford, great aunt and godmother, Carmela Cirino of Ansonia, long time loving girlfriend, Jen Bruno and several cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Ralph Tillquist, whom he affectionately called “Poppy” and an aunt, Pamela Ostberg.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Scott’s funeral on Saturday February 6, 2016, at 12:00 Noon at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia, for a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial. His burial will be private. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Scott Andrew Schremmer to the Grass Roots Foundation at www.drugfree.org/grassroots-fundraising/ or through the funeral home.
