Joyce A. Jablonsky Roman, 79, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Alexander C. Roman, passed away in her home peacefully Friday, December 6, 2013.
Joyce was born in Bridgeport, daughter of the late Rudolph and Anna Schiller Jablonsky and has lived in Trumbull over twenty five years.
She was a graduate of Central High School, class of 1951. Joyce was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Dorcas Club and the Rock of Agers, also a longtime member of the Ladies Aides Society of Zion Lutheran Church.
Joyce was a loving, caring and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, known as Rome to her grandchildren and a loyal friend to many.
Survivors include her son, John S. Roman and wife Lisa of Ansonia, her daughter, Donna Lynne Rodriguez and husband Rafael of Stratford, seven grandchildren, Jonathan, Kristen, Marissa, Alexis, John, Jennifer and Richelle, three great grandchildren, Gavin, Santino and Skyler; also several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Jablonsky and her sister, Gladys Ferik.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:00a.m., meeting directly at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 5995 Main Street, Trumbull, with the Rev. Emil Witschy, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call Monday from 4:00 – 8:00p.m., in the Redgate – Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull.
