Edward Perlie Judd, 87, passed away in Sarasota, FL on November 18, 2015.
Born in Bridgeport, CT on December 2, 1927, he was the son of the late Perlie and Valera Hallowell Judd.
After graduating from Ansonia High School, Mr. Judd served in the U.S. Army prior to joining the family’s company, Judd’s Express. He was later employed by Central Rigging Co. where he was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers until his retirement. Mr. Judd was active with the AM Vets 302 and the Loyal Order of the Moose and was an avid New York and Connecticut sports fan. He retired to Milo, Maine and North Port, Florida over twenty years ago.
He is survived by his sons, Edward P. (Irene) Judd, Jr. of Auburn, Maine and David P. (Nancy) Judd of Wolcott, CT. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, his step children from the Brackett family, and his companion, Sandra Clark. Mr. Judd was predeceased by his brothers, Robert and Richard Judd, his sister, Marjorie Blaze and his beloved partner Marjorie Brackett, who passed in 2001.
Friends and family may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford. Military Honors and interment will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at King’s Highway Cemetery, 271 Cherry St., Milford, CT.
