Louis J. Kudej, age 84, of Derby entered into rest on Monday, November 23, 2015 at Griffin Hospital.
He was born in Derby, on March 9, 1931 son of the late John and Helen (Gola) Kudej and was a lifelong Derby resident.
Louis served as a Sergeant First Class for the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an employee at Sikorsky Aircraft for many years until his retirement.
Louis enjoyed going to sports events and watching them on television. He also enjoyed walking.
Louis is the sister of Helen Knapp and her husband George, Alfreda Levinsky and her husband Stanley and Frank Kudej and his wife Alma. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews who he adores.
Louis is predeceased by four brothers, Chester, Benjamin, Walter and Henry Edward Kudej, and three sisters, Gladys Kwiatkowski, Ann Kowalczyk and Frances Miklinevich.
Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 7 PM. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Saturday, his funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:00 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Michael’s Church. His burial with military honors will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
