Lorraine L. Sepanek, age 81 of Oxford, the loving wife of the late Edward J. Sepanek and loving Mom to Jay and Mike Sepanek, entered into eternal rest peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in New Haven on August 24, 1934, the daughter of the late Fred and Carmela Russo Perrelli.
Lorraine was a communicant of St. Michael’s Church and a member of the Riverside Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a graduate of the class of 1952 at Wilbur Cross High School where she lettered in swimming basketball and bowling. She was a die hard, lifelong fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants and NY Rangers.
An avid homemaker, her greatest joy came in spending time with her family and friends, especially her cherished grandchildren.
Lorraine will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts.
Her family includes her loving sons Michael Sepanek, his wife Kristina; and Jay Sepanek his wife Sandy, and her three cherished granddaughters Skylar, Kaitlin and Leanne.
She was predeceased by her brother Nicholas F. Perrelli.
A Funeral Service in Celebration of Lorraine’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 9:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, (RT 67, across from Klarides Village) Seymour with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 am at St. Michael Church, 75 Derby Ave, Derby. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Michael Cemetery, Derby. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Friday evening, January 15, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine’s memory to the Riverside Vol. Fire Department in Oxford, CT.
