He was born Sept. 2, 1940 in Derby, son of the late Kenneth & June Buswell Davies Sr.

Kenneth graduated from Ansonia High School, Class of 1958. He served in the U.S. Marine Reserves and worked as a truck driver for U.P.S. for 35 years driving tandems, and was a member of the Ansonia Rod & Gun Club and Buick Club. He was a former member of The First Baptist Church in Ansonia.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Kenneth Davies & wife Lori of Cave Creek, Arizona & Kevin Davies & wife Heather of St. Petersburg FL., daughter Laura Blood & husband Ken of Oxford, brother Arthur Davies of West Haven, CT and 4 grandchildren and 1 niece & 3 nephews.

Friends may call on Wednesday, (TODAY) from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. Valley-OBT-KozeyPatricia Ann Kozey, 51, of Seymour entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 4, 2014.

She was born in Derby, CT on October 4, 1962 the beloved daughter of Russell R. and Patricia Zern Kozey of Seymour.

Her loving family in addition to her parents includes her beloved sons Ross Van Nostrand and his wife Jennifer (Neves) of Seymour and Edmund Garrett Rioux of Seymour, a caring brother Jim Kozey of Seymour and several aunts, uncles, cousins and loved ones.

Patty was devoted to her two Prided sons Ross Michael and Edmund Garrett and their many accomplishments. She loved supporting her sons Academics and Athletic accomplishments and loved traveling with them to all their games throughout New England and New York and would follow them to play-offs in Florida and Las Vegas, and considered amongst soccer and basketball Moms as a prideful and knowledgeable Mom.

She recently gained a wonderful daughter-in-law whom she considered “daughter”, Jen. Patty’s kind and considerate personality was infectious to all she came in contact with not only towards those she knew.

She was employed at Yale University EdU since January 20, 1997. She worked in various departments most recently promoted to Human Research Protection Program as a financial analyst, and her bubbly spirit would help her through her physical difficulties.

She championed Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 1990. She began her working career as a volunteer, CAN, and then, Therapeutic Recreation Director at Hewitt Hospital. Patty graduated Holy Cross High School, Wtby, in 1980. She attended Sacred Heart University and graduated Post College, Wtby, on the dean’s list which her parents were proud of.

In Patty’s spare time she enjoyed tending her flower beds, remodeling her house and instructing her father how to properly mow her lawn. Also, she loved her beautiful black cat, Tippy who would wait and talk to her when she arrived home.

Her untimely passing was a shock to all who know her and she was grateful to all her Doctors and Medical staff. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Seymour. Patty will be sadly missed by her family and her many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial in celebration of Patricia’s life will be held DIRECTLY at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd., Seymour on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Springtime interment in Mountain Meadows Cemetery, Seymour. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home on Sunday, March 9 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Born in Derby on June 18, 1947, he was the son of the late Judge John F. Androski and Helen Bush Androski.

In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his brother Atty. John F. X. Androski and his wife Carol, his sister Atty. Mary Androski and her husband Dr. Rad Maric; his nephew John X. Androski and his wife Rachael, his niece Atty. Caroline Baird and her husband Robert, his nephew Atty. Joseph Androski; and several great nieces and nephews as well as his dearly beloved companion “Toby.”

A Mass of Christian Burial, meeting directly at church, will be celebrated on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00 PM in St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett St., Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Calling hours are on Sunday, March 9, 2013 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM in the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. Joseph J. Kusako, 90, of Southbury, formerly of Ansonia, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on March 6, 2014, at Griffin Hospital.

Mr. Kusako was born in Ansonia on March 11, 1923, son of the late William and Ann Wasik Kucejko.

At the age of 19, he entered and proudly served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Following his service to his country, he attended and graduated from the University of Bridgeport. He was employed as an auditor for Standard Oil Co. and later Mobil Oil Co. for many years until his retirement.

While working, Joseph traveled extensively throughout the world and had the opportunity and enjoyed living in such places as India, Africa, Australia and Vietnam. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia.

He is survived by two beloved sisters, Jeanne Bohdan of Ansonia and Peggy Ann Kuzia of Scottsdale, AZ and several loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, Stanley, Herbert, William, Edward and Frederick Kusako and sisters, Juliana Mallon, Alfreda Van Aken, Lucille Chlebowski and Frances Popp.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joseph’s Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Friday March 14, 2014, at 10:00 (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY) at St. Joseph’s Church, 32 Jewett St. in Ansonia. Inurnment with U.S. Navy military honors will follow in the family plot in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph’s Church. Ronald Louis Allen, Sr., age 78, of Derby, entered into rest on Friday March 7, 2014 in his home with his loving family by his side. He was the devoted husband of Jeannette F. (Cray) Allen.

Ron was born in Silver Ridge, Maine on March 13, 1935, son of the late Leon and Shirley (Gould) Allen and was a resident of Derby since 1967.

He was a truck driver for over 30 years starting his trucking career with Archer Waste Disposal and retiring from American Disposal Service in 2004.

He was a member of St. Jude Church and Derby Senior Center.

Ronald is the beloved father of Karen Allen and her fiancée’ Christopher Troiano and Ronald Allen Jr. and his companion Cheri Clark, proud grandfather of London Franks-Allen. He is also survived by a three brothers Samuel, Clifford and Gene Allen, a devoted niece Diane Vincenzi and several other nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers Stanley and Roger Allen and a sister Sharon Markey.

Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7 pm at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. His funeral will leave the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:15 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Jude Church, Derby. Burial with full military honors will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.

Edward M. Frashuer Sr. age 53, husband to Donna Morey Frashuer and resident of Ansonia, passed away at home on March 3.

He was born May 17, 1960 in Bridgeport, CT son of the late Edward Frashuer & Gail Wallenta of Indiana.

He worked as an HVAC man for First Heating & Cooling Co. of Westport.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his son Edward Frashuer Jr. of Seymour, daughter Sara Frashuer of Ansonia, his brother Mark Frashuer of Davenport, FL., sister Tracy Frashuer of Naugatuck, 2 granddaughters, Valissa Frashuer of Deltona, FL. & Hailey Overton of Derby, his paternal grandmother Janetta Frashuer of Shelton and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Janet Watrous, age 84, widow of 58 years to the late Ernest Wesley Watrous, and resident of Cheshire, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on March 6, 2014.

She was born on August 15, 1929 in Middletown, daughter of the late Amos and Hazel Kuhn Morse.

She worked as a retail manager for Kmart and later Caldor in Cromwell.

Janet enjoyed reading her Bible and prayer, jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and watching sports on TV. She also enjoyed her friends and the staff at Elim Park.

She is survived by her sons, David Watrous and wife Linda of Derby, Alan Watrous and wife Virginia of Wallingford, Wayne Watrous and wife Brenda of Tennessee, and Mark Watrous and wife Colleen of Middletown, and by grandchildren Marisol and Jonathan, Brian, Nicholas, Courtney and Nathan, Andrew, Rebekah, Daniel and Harley, and Megan, Ernest, and Timothy, and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Janet is also survived by her brothers George Morse and wife Phyllis, Donald Morse and wife Ruth, Richard Morse, and her sister Edith Morse.

She was predeceased by her brother Robert Morse and sisters Eleanor Morse and Alice Cockburn, and by grandson James Watrous.

The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Elim Park in Cheshire, and the excellent ER doctors and nurses at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden who took care of her.

Obituary: Jack P. LaRocca, 84, of Derby

Jack P. LaRocca, 84, of Derby, entered into eternal rest on March 8, 2014, at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. He was the beloved husband of Judith Nardi LaRocca.

Mr. LaRocca was born in Derby on August 21, 1929, son of the late Salvatore and Vincenza Barba LaRocca.

A resident of Derby for 50 years, he was employed as president of Kobe Appliance in West Haven for thirty years, until his retirement in 1994. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he honorably served during the Korean Conflict.

Jack was a devoted communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia where he served as an usher at 9:30 am Mass and was a member of the Catholic Men’s Club. He tirelessly gave his efforts to Holy Rosary’s annual Italian Festival and worked in the famous calamari booth. He was a member of the Ansonia and Derby Senior Centers and a former member of the Sons of Italy in Derby.

Jack was an avid UCONN Huskies basketball fan as well as an enthusiastic supporter of the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants. He also took great pride is his annual vegetable garden.

In addition to his wife Judy, he is survived by three loving sons, Jack LaRocca (Rebecca Peperni) of Old Lyme, David LaRocca (Lucy) of Madison and Peter LaRocca (Judy) of Concord, MA, a sister, Josephine Coppola of Derby, six cherished grandchildren, Michael, Nicholas, Karen, Amy, Ava, and Mia LaRocca, great-grandson, Mason LaRocca and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by brothers, Joseph LoRocco and Pasquale and Angelo DiCaro and sisters, Angelina Matina and Antoinette Speranzini.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday March 12, 2014, from 4-7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Thursday, his funeral will be held at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church. Interment with U.S. Army military honors will take place in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.

Mary K. Zalmer, 86, of Durham, passed away on February 23, 2014. She was the wife of the late Richard D. Zalmer.

Born in Derby, February 14, 1928, daughter of the late William and Helen Kiley, she was a 1946 graduate of Derby High School.

Mary was an accomplished dancer and dance teacher who owned and operated the Mary A. Kiley Dance Studio for many years in the Naugatuck Valley.

Mary is survived by loving daughters and son-in-laws, Patricia Somo of Middletown, Lynn and Louis Onofrio of Middlefield, Maryanne and Timothy Reyher of Durham, Elaine and Anthony Calcagni of Durham, and Ellen and John Dunnigan of Wallingford; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer and Kristin Somo, Suzanne and Michael Onofrio, Lauren and Sal Gaudino, Megan and Timothy Reyher, Mary and Jake Provencher, Matthew Calcagni, John and Peira Dunnigan, Kelly and Kimberly Dunnigan; four great grandchildren Dominic, Dimitri, and Adriana Gaudino and Chase Kingsland; a sister Helene Cass, brothers Richard and James Kiley and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by Sisters Bernice Shortell, and Jean Wilkinson, and Brothers William, Christopher, and Michael Kiley.

Her family will receive relatives and friends at The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St. Ext., Wallingford, on Saturday March 1, 2014 from 9:00am to 11:00am. A service will take place Saturday 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Eula Eleanor (Collins) Lowe

Mrs. Eula Eleanor (Collins) Lowe, 76, beloved wife of Rex Lowe, Jr. of Seymour, entered into eternal rest on March 11, 2014 at Griffin Hospital, Derby.

Mrs. Lowe was born on June 9, 1937 in Pike County, KY and was the daughter of the late George M. and Kelcie M. (Charles) Collins.

She was educated in the Pike County School system. She was a nurse’s aide at United Methodist Homes in Shelton for many years before her retirement in 2009.

Mrs. Lowe was an avid gardener, loved to read and was known as a master for her southern cuisine.

In addition to her devoted husband of 57 years, she leaves her four children, Sheila Hayden (David Kotos) of Seymour, Anita (Larry) Haversat of Naugatuck, Rex Michael (Jannine) Lowe of Naugatuck, and Lisa (Andrew) Gaw of Bethany and five grandchildren, Ryan M. Lowe of Prospect, Chantel M. Lowe of Waterbury, Michael S., and Cheyenne E. Lowe both of Naugatuck, Ian A. Gaw of Bethany. She also leaves her siblings, Harold Collins of San Antonio, TX, Beatrice Newsom of Virgie, KY, Helen Moore of Godfrey, IL and Mildred Nichols, Pikeville, KY and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved nephew, Randall M. May and five half siblings.

A Service will be held on Saturday, Mar. 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour followed by a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the Seymour Congregational Church, Seymour. Family and Friends may call from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Andrew D. Altorelli

Andrew D. Altorelli, 66, beloved husband of 40 years to Priscilla Hibbard Altorelli and resident of Seymour entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 9, 2014 at Gardner Heights Health Care Center in Shelton.

Andrew was born on December 1, 1947 in Derby the son of the late Andrew and Aida Ferri Altorelli.

He attended Derby schools and was a resident of Seymour the past 39 years. Andrew was a member and past captain of the Hotchkiss Hose Company #1 in Derby.

Andrew was a retired baker and had practiced his trade at the Culinary Shop in Shelton, Eddie’s Bake Shop in Ansonia, Klarides Supermarket and Adam’s Supermarket in Derby, and Big Y in Bethel. He was known for his delicious rye bread.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving daughter Christina Cieri and her husband Richard of Prospect, 4 brothers, Alphonse Altorelli and his wife Deborah and John Altorelli of New Milford; Paul Altorelli and his wife Danielle of Roxbury; Richard Altorelli and his wife Lisa of Orange; and four sisters, Frances Black and Sharon Narducci and her husband Tony of New Milford; Shirley Colman and her husband Frank of Massachusetts and Theresa Altorelli of California. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Gardner Heights for the loving care that they provided to Andrew and his family. A very special thank you to Kenneth E. Mancher, M.D. and W. Neal Pearson, M.D. for their many years of compassionate care. There will be no calling hours.

A celebration of Andrew’s life will be held on Saturday, March 15 at 9:00 a.m. at The Great Hill United Methodist Church, 225 Great Hill Road, Seymour.

James “Jimmy” Dolan

James “Jimmy” Dolan of Seymour died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the Veterans Administration Health Center in West Haven, CT.

Born July 6, 1936 at Bridgeport Hospital to the late James A. and Eunice Yarosh Dolan, both of Seymour, Jimmy was also predeceased by sister, Judith Dolan Giaimo.

He is survived by sons, Teddy (Yolanda) Windham of Rancho Santa Margarita, CA, and Christopher (Sarah) Dolan of New York, NY, daughters Cara Dolan Berry of Seymour and Kelly Dolan of Seymour, brother, Robert (Cheryl) Dolan of La Quinta, CA, sisters Kathleen (Thomas) Corso of Grants Pass, OR, and Nancy (Paul) Vitarelli of Waterbury, grandsons Shawn, Franklin and Matthew, granddaughters Nancy, Catherine, Eva and Anna, great-grandson Cole, former wife, Susanne Hanley Dolan, nephews Jeffrey, Brian, and Robert, nieces Nancy, Kim, Lisa, Laurie, and Lia, and great nephew Dennis, as well as many more great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Jimmy attended Maple Street School in Seymour and spent two years at Notre Dame High School of West Haven before graduating from Seymour High School in 1954. He proudly enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954 during the Korean War, and was honorably discharged in 1958. Jimmy worked for family businesses as a young man before making a career in sales.

While he spent most of his life in Seymour, he most recently resided in Hollywood, FL for almost 25 years before returning to his home town in July of 2013. A passion for traveling and a former truck driver, he was proud to have visited every one of the United States but Alaska. He was also an avid fisherman and boater, which informed his lifelong love of the ocean.

On his behalf, the family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff on the VA’s “4th Floor West” for the care, compassion and companionship they afforded him during his final days.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, at 11:00 A.M. at the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank Street, (Rt. 67, opposite Klarides Village),Seymour, CT 06483 with a private interment to follow. Military Honors will be accorded at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jimmy’s memory can be made to the Seymour Land Trust, Inc. attn Frank Conroy, PO Box 366, Seymour CT 06483, to support the catch and release trout fishing and annual youth fishing rodeo at the town’s historic Legion Pool, where Jimmy fished and worked as a lifeguard in his youth.

Joseph J. Macchio, 65, of Seymour, peacefully entered into eternal rest on March 13, 2014, at Griffin Hospital, following a short illness.

Mr. Macchio was born in Derby on October 20, 1948, beloved son of Emilio D. Macchio of Seymour and the late Mary Falcha Macchio.

A resident of Seymour for most of his life, he was employed as a school bus driver until his retirement.

Joe enjoyed woodworking and spending time at his camp in New Hampshire.

In addition to his father, Emilio, he is survived by a loving brother, Ronald J. Macchio (Janice Dagostino) of Storrs, CT, a cherished nephew, Justin Macchio of Los Angeles, CA and many cousins.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Monday March 17, 2014, at 11:00 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Road in Seymour. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Noreen Donahue

Noreen Donahue, an 81 year old former longtime Ansonia resident, passed away peacefully March 17 in Naugatuck.

She was born March 1, 1932 in Derby, daughter of the late Frances & Elizabeth (Sheehy) Donahue.

Noreen graduated from Assumption School in Ansonia and Ansonia High School. She worked for Security Insurance in New Haven and Farrel Corp. in Ansonia. She also volunteered at My Sister’s Place in Ansonia.

She is survived by her cousin Theodore Donahue and his wife Patricia of Waterbury and best friends Patricia Honas & Margaret Cronin.

Noreen was predeceased by her sister Maura Donahue, with whom she lived.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday March 20 at 12 NOON at The Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Julia Hayes, age 93, wife of the late Walter Hayes and resident of Ansonia, passed away March 17.

She was born August 8, 1920 in Darlington, S.C. daughter of the late Edward & Hattie Edwards Wright.

She worked for B.F. Goodrich and was a member of The Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia.

She leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters, Gail & Nancy Hayes, both of Ansonia, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren & a host of nieces & nephews & cousins.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by 2 daughters, Veronica Wilson & Pearlena Jeffrey, and 10 brothers & 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. at The Macedonia Baptist Church in Ansonia. Friends may call at church 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before the service. John Matika, a 70 year old resident of Ansonia, passed away at home March 20.

He was born Jan. 1, 1944 in Derby, son of the late John & Dorothy Krampetz Matika.

He worked as a machinist and was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia.

John is survived by his nephew David Matika of Beacon Falls, and was predeceased by his brother Richard.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 24th at 9:00 a.m. from Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery Mausoleum in Derby. There are no calling hours.

Robert F. Maloy

Robert F. Maloy, age 86, longtime resident of Milford and beloved husband to Elinor Geoghegan Maloy, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Milford Hospital.

Born in Hartford on January 16, 1928, he was the son of the late John T. and Catherine Fagan Maloy.

Robert served with pride and honor in the US Navy as a Seaman during WWII. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an inspector for Pratt & Whitney.

Having a great love of the ocean, Robert was an avid boater and enjoyed building models, as he loved working with his hands. Most important in his life was spending time with his family, especially his cherished grandchildren.

He will be remembered as a caring, loving and generous husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

In addition to his wife Elinor of 56 years, he is survived by his daughter, Maureen Stusalitus and her husband Paul of Shelton; sons Thomas Maloy and his wife Maryann of Durham, NC and Christopher Maloy and his wife Antoinette of Seymour and six grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 26th at 10:30 a.m. (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH) at St. Mary Church, 70 Gulf St., Milford, CT 06460. Interment to follow as St. Mary Cemetery, Milford with full military honors. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, March 25th from 4 to 7 pm at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT 06460.

Marilyn L. Scippa, 62, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest in the afternoon of March 24, 2014, at Griffin Hospital, following a short battle with cancer. She is the beloved wife of Paul A. Scippa.

Marilyn was born in Fall River, MA on May 28, 1952, daughter of the late Robert and Helen O’Driscoll.

She was employed at the former Pathmark in Bridgeport, Wire Mold Corp. in West Hartford and retired from Stop & Shop in Ansonia.

Marilyn enjoyed the beach, playing Bingo and visiting the casinos.

In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by two loving daughters, Dawn Birsall of Waterbury and Kandice Batts (Nicholas) of Rocky Mount, NC, two brothers, Robert O’Driscoll of New Britain and Michael O’Driscoll of Branford, four cherished grandchildren, Robert Scippa, Kayleigh Kantorowski, Jessie and Nicholas Batts and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, John O’Driscoll.

A memorial gathering and celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held on Friday March 28, 2014, from 5-7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Interment will be private.

Anne (Yustin) Slie

Mrs. Anne (Yustin) Slie, age 90, beloved wife of the late William J. Slie, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 25, 1923 in Oxford and was the daughter of the late Theodore and Esther (Sokol) Yustin.

She was a graduate of Seymour High School, Class of 1941. Mrs. Slie worked at Klarides Supermarket for many years before her retirement.

She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd and was devoted to her family and those less fortunate than her.

Mrs. Slie is survived by her three sons, William J. Slie, Jr. of Seymour, Robert Slie and his wife Rosemary of Oxford and James Slie and his wife Marcie of Seymour, five grandchildren, Tina Slie of Monroe, Wendy Carrafiello and her husband Joseph of Seymour, Stefanie Slie of Derby, Shelby Slie of Waterbury, Haley Slie and her fiancé Jordan Addis of Seymour, two great grandsons, Joey and Robby Carrafiello, her sister in law, Muriel DeRienzo of Seymour, and her caretaker, Carolina and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, Antoinette Yarosevich, Anthony Yustin, Martha Balko, Alexander Yustin and John Yustin.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 26 at 10:15 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church Street, Seymour followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Family and Friends may call from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the Funeral Home prior to services. Interment will be held in private.

Iona Hale, age 92, wife of the late Frank Hale and resident of Ansonia, passed away at home March 19.

She was born Dec. 8, 1921 in Taylorsville, Pennsylvania.

Children were a special joy for her, in addition to being a mother and babysitter, she was over the years a loving parent to over 25 foster children.

She leaves to cherish her memory her 2 daughters, Linda MacLean & her husband Hugh of Branford & Deborah Hansen & her husband Keith of Ansonia, with whom she resided, her brother Calvin Isenberg of Indiana, PA., as well as 4 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her 2 brothers William & Richard and 3 sisters, Emma, Margaret & Avonelle.
